'Over the River' is worth the trip

Madison Rep layoffs will nearly cut staff in half

It's a difficult time to be in the arts: Madison Repertory Theatre announced Monday it will begin layoffs. The Rep Board of Directors announced "staffing changes" Monday afternoon in addition to "innovative measures to increase earned and contributed income." Madison Rep plans to produce five plays this year in the Playhouse at Overture Center. more >>

Broom Street actor recovering well from opening night heart attack

Local actor Callen Harty gave new meaning to the phrase "the show must go on" when he completed a performance while having a heart attack on Friday.
