The jersey referendum doesn't bode well for Ben Sheets. Once the runaway Milwaukee Brewers jersey of choice, Sheets shirts were in short supply last Saturday among the sellout crowd at Miller Park for what presumably was his final performance in a Brewers uniform. more >>

Preserving memories? That's the ticket
Call him a sentimentalist, but to Paul Soglin there's just something magical about a ticket stub. Mike Annen has had the same Saturday job for almost 50 years, and couldn't give it up if he tried. Annen parks vehicles on his property on Badger football Saturdays, waving cars into the driveway of the home that he grew up in and bought from his parents. No one ought to blow out of proportion the altercation that occurred in the Miller Park parking lot last week during the much-hyped I-94 series, in which a Milwaukee area man tossed a beer bottle at a bus carrying Cubs fans -- some of whom promptly got out and beat him silly. more >>
